Your Birthday! July 15th 2010

Jackson, Jackson, Jackson... you are already a little star. You arrived as we anticipated, via a C section just like your brother Ethan. We arrived to the hospital at 730 am to get set up for the operation. Unlike with Ethan, this time there was no stress, it all went as scheduled, all the doctors and nurses took good care of us to make sure we were ready go. Daddy took lots of pictures of us in the operating room as he was chatting with the doctors wishing he could be right along side of them doing the surgery. When the nurses had you cleaned up you and daddy had some special time doing kangaroo care, skin to skin contact while they finished with me. That was the most special thing to see and it certainly calmed you right down. You were just a perfect little vision. It was an emotional few days preceeding this day as I was filled with feelings about how I could share my heart with both of my sons. Well, now I know how easy it is. You and your brother are such special creatures and have filled up mommy and daddy hearts so full. We never imagined we would have a family so special.

Of course your "G" and aunt Jenny and Jessie were waiting outside to see you. They all can't get over how much beautiful dark hair you have. We were surprised when Ethan had dark hair when he was born, but your hair makes his hair look blond. Such thick beautiful dark hair. And of course they were all talking about how perfect your head is. Well of course it is, because it didn't have to go through the stress of labor. It really is a pretty perfect head. And your ears are just like Daddy's, just perfect.
